Elsie's 6th Birthday

Elsie has the last birthday of the year and she isn't too happy about it. She has so wait while everyone else gets their special day before her. She just does not think this is fair.

However, one lucky thing about having a birthday right after Christmas is that you are never in danger of having to spend your birthday at school.

We took advantage of that and invited everyone to take the train with us to Hanford.

We found a pizza parlor for lunch

(That's where Lila started getting sick. She ended up with pneumonia, poor baby)

Then we walked over to Superior Dairy! We were all very full, but we couldn't pass it up.

(Looks like Grandpa wasn't patient enough to wait for the picture to be taken!)

Then Elsie helped me with the cake, and she got to finish opening her presents.

Christmas!!!

We woke up bright and early as usual. The girls were thrilled with all their new doll clothes and furniture and Aaron was surprised and excited about his BB gun!

Nick was definitely most excited about his beardo.

We invited everyone over for breakfast, which was perfect. I was able to get the busy part of the day over with early, visit with everyone, and then relax and enjoy the day with the kids.

For dinner I made everyone a cornish game hen, which was way too much food, but very fun and festive. I'll probably serve it again next year.

It was a great Christmas.

Christmas Eve

We went to Ralph and Linda's on Christmas Eve again this year and had lots of fun there. Then we headed home to open up our Christmas pj's and hop into bed before Santa came. The kids were giddy (and goofy) with anticipation!

Christmas Eve {Eve}

My mom started the festivities this year with a party at her house. We love celebrating Christmas for 3 days!!
