So many babies...

Aaron 7lb 14oz

Charlotte 7lb 8oz
Elsie 6lb 8oz

Lila 6lb 14oz

Nick (not sure, but I think around 5 lbs)
Other than being all skinny and bony, they all (except Charlotte) sure do look a lot like him!
Good thing he's so good looking

I think I need to get a life

Charlotte made a collage for me at preschool.
She also made one for herself.

Charlotte's
filled with Princesses, Dora and dollhouses

Mine
Stain remover, mouthwash and panty liners??!!

Seriously? Is this what I've become? My daughter thinks that these are the things that interest me? I'm glad she did at least throw a necklace on there (though I hope she never buys that one for me)

but really, I need a new hobby.

(btw...what is with those candles? When are panty liners ever romantic?)

Buddy

We recently cleaned off our balcony and the kids have been playing, painting, and having tea-parties out there. With their new found play place has come more open doors, which has lead to flies in our house.

A few days ago I heard them talking to "Buddy" and thought it must be an imaginary dog. Then later at dinner when I shooed away a fly I got yelled at for trying to hurt their pet Buddy. Even Elsie was in on it.

The next night Nick was trying to kill a Buddy and we almost had tears. Nick, having just learned of their new pet looked at me in disbelief and simply said "Are you serious?"

When I explained that there were many more than one Buddy and that there would never be a shortage of flies, all fears were calmed and killing Buddy became a sport in our house.

Today after preschool Charlotte ran into my room yelling "I killed a Buddy!" Trying to show some excitement for her but still being a little disgusted. I said "Good job! now go wash your hands."

From the bathroom, while washing her hands I heard "I did it! I did it! Daddy will be so proud of me. I knew I could kill a fly!"

...and quite honestly, I am impressed!

Just for fun

I have a picture frame in my house with 5 openings which I like to fill with pictures of my kids. The last time I updated it was 2 years ago. Elsie was a newborn. It was time for a change. I took these on Saturday. I might try again for a better group shot, but with 4 kids, the chances of me getting one with all of them happy are pretty slim. Here are some of my favorites.

S'more Pie

Nick had an idea a few months ago. He was very insistent about it. To him, this was the greatest idea ever thought up by man. He was going to make a s'more pie.
He told everyone about it.
For weeks we asked me to buy his ingredients and I didn't really take him seriously (it sounded like a gooey mess) but when Nick puts his mind to something, there's no stopping him, so I finally did...
and it was a gooey mess
but look how proud he is!

Pay it Forward

The day I came home from the hospital I found this cute little charm in the stack of mail. My sweet cousin Chrissy sent it to me.

I love it.
I can't decide if I should keep it for myself or put it on Charlotte's bracelet.

Would you like a fun little present too? Here's what you do.....

The PAY IT FORWARD exchange focuses on doing an act of kindness without expecting anything in return. The recipient will, in their turn, pass the kindness along and "pay it forward".Here are the rules:I agree to send along some goodies to the first three people who post a comment on this entry. In turn, those three people post this information and "Pay It Forward" to the first three people who comment on their post. You must promise to mention this on your blog, link to me, and send off your goods to those three people so that this continues. As soon as I have my three lucky bloggers, I will email you a request for your shipping address. Hmmm...what will will be coming your way? That's all part of the fun! :)

They grow so fast....

Lila will be four weeks old on Friday. She had already outgrown some of the little preemie outfits that I had. I find myself getting sad when I can tell that she has grown. I don't know if or how many more children we will have and I just want her to stay little forever....

but she just keeps on growing

here she is about 20 hours old

notice the pants go down to her ankles

Now here at 3 weeks with the same pants almost up to her knees

stay small baby Lila...stay small!

Last Soccer Game

This season seemed to fly by. The arrival of Miss Lila probably helped. I liked this team much better than the team from last year. There were a few kids from his class on the team and I really liked some of the moms so practices were more fun. Aaron also got more into the games this year and it was very fun to watch him. Thanks to everyone who came out to watch him play this season.

Next year he moves up to the under 8 league. I think they start adding in some rules and they might even keep score. I hope he continues to have good coaches who want the kids to have fun rather than some of the others I've seen who just want to win. I don't think Aaron would do too well with that.

Bragging Rights

Apparently my sweet boy is also a sweet boy at school! He was awarded with Tiger of the month in his classroom on Thursday.
Here is the paragraph his teacher wrote about him.
This young man is an excellent model for the character Trait of responsibility. Aaron enters our classroom each morning eager to begin his day and to tackle the challenges that are presented to him. Each day, Aaron remembers to return his homework folder, envelopes and "Just for Tonight Books in a responsible manner. Aaron has many friends in class and demonstrates daily-how to be a responsible student and friend. K-2 is very proud of their Tiger of the Month. Keep up the great work!
