Kindergarten Carnival

I am still trying to get caught up. Instead of a Kindergarten graduation Aaron's school has a kindergarten carnival. I was kind of sad about it, I really wanted cute graduation pictures, but the kids had way more fun then they would have standing in front of an audience singing songs.

There were 12 groups of kids and 12 stations. I led Aaron's group around to each activity.

The first station was bubbles. Kids can be entertained for hours by bubbles.

There were actually two station in a row that were big bounce houses. By the end of the second one most of the girls were ready to rest but the boys were still jumping like crazy.

Then after all that jumping, a nice quiet story.

followed by a yummy bag of popcorn!

Photobucket
Aaron was a golfing pro! He got his ball in he hole every time!

He wasn't all that great at musical chairs though. Instead he pretended to make his stuffed animals fight with his friend Austin.

Then more snacks at the snow cone station

Visor making came next. These visors proved to be useful in the summer heat.

Photobucket
Ping-pong ball toss. Can you see Aaron's ball in the air right above that guys shoe? This station was pretty boring actually. None of the kids were able to get a ball inside of a ring.

Photobucket
Then was this cute little relay race. The boys got really into helping each other "get ready for work"

then the final station was duck duck goose. By this time the kids were really hot and ready to go sit in the shade and enjoy their Wendy's hamburgers!

Photobucket

It was a really fun day and I'm so glad my kids didn't have conflicting field trips so that I could attend all of their end of the year activities.

Swingers

Aaron hated the swing until he was one, but my girls have all loved it. When I was pregnant with Lila I would give Elsie a snack, a drink and a push and then go sit on a bench while the others played and she was as happy as can be. Now however all I hear from her while at the park is "push me higher, push me higher!"

but not this pretty little girl, she is content to gently sway and observe all the action.

look at those thighs....I could eat them up!

Preschool Graduation

Charlotte is officially all done with preschool. She won't be attending any kind of preschool next year and won't be going off to kindergarten yet (her birthday is a day too late). Even though she is ready to go to school, I am looking forward to having her home this one last year. She is such a sweet girl. I think she is the most like me of all my children. She definitely looks most like me. She whispers in my ear multiple times a day that she loves me better than anyone else in the whole wide world. I hope that little secret she shares with me stays true for a long, long time.

Charlotte was so excited to preform all of her songs for us, but of course got stage fright and just stood there wrapping her dress up in her hand exposing her panty covers!

Photobucket

She did get excited about her diploma! Seeing an older sibling get one must have made that piece of paper seem so very special.

I had her teacher take a group picture of us...I should have had her take a few

All Grown Up

My brother graduated from high school this month. He is ten years younger than I, which means that I graduated ten years ago. Kinda hard to wrap my head around that one.

He was so cute in his cap and gown. I made him pose for more pictures than he probably liked!

Here are a bunch of pictures so you can think he was cute with me.

Photobucket

not sure how I managed to focus on them while they were moving, but I like it. Nick is closest to the camera.

Photobucket

can you pick him out?

Photobucket

I didn't realize it at the time but I captured him on the screen as he was handed his diploma

Photobucket

this picture is before Elsie peed on Nick, who had to go back to work and didn't have time to go home and change

Photobucket

trying to get that hat to stay put. Isn't he cute.
Congratulations Nick. I love you and I am so proud that you are my brother.

Preschool field trip

I went with Charlotte's class on their field trip to the Discovery Center. It was extra fun because I remember going here on field trips when I was in school.
