Ali's 19th

My little sister turned 19 this month. I am eight years older than her. I was 19 when I met Nick. It doesn't seem possible that so much time has passed. Am I getting old? I'm not ready to be old.

In case you missed it...

...actually even if you were there.

My kids refused to open their mouths to sing "Battle Hymn of the Republic" but it is all I have heard at home this week. Charlotte came down with some version of a cold yesterday and it has changed her voice a bit. I absolutely LOVE it. She always sounds cute but this stuffy nose is making her voice even cuter! So I captured it on tape while she sang her new favorite song.

60th Anniversary

This past Saturday we celebrated my Grandparents 60th wedding anniversary. It really is quite amazing when you think about it. Not many people make it to that milestone.
We all got together at my Aunt and Uncle's house and enjoyed the finally cooling down weather. (Nick wasn't able to make it which was too bad, but the good news is that he was flying his first Charter flight!!) Here are some pictures to give you a glimpse into the evening.

All of the great-grand kids (except for Ella and Addie) kicked off the entertainment by singing "Battle Hymn of the Republic" and an old primary song that I had never heard before. Even though my kids knew the words and they did great when we practiced just minutes before, they wouldn't open their mouths to sing. Good thing the other Freeman kids aren't so shy.

then we were privileged to hear fun stories and memories from friends and family all about the happy couple through out the years.

More music from my dad and uncles. Always a treat!

Happy 60th Anniversary Grandma and Grandpa!!

New Banner!!

My talented cousin Chrissy just made this lovely banner for my blog! Isn't it great. Chrissy, I think you could start your own banner business and get $40 a pop like the others do. Thanks again, I love it!

Freeman Brothers

I almost didn't post these because none of the pictures turned out. But since I am almost done with my 2007 Blurb book and am really excited about it, I thought I would add these in for our 2008 book.

My dad and his brothers

I didn't get a full body shot of Nick in his suit. I really wish I had. They had 2 racks full of 70's clothes for people to dress up in and take pictures. Nick found this suit and fell in love. I actually got a little jealous, he spent more time admiring that suit then he did me. He even tried to take it home with us.

Here is a group shot after the show. It was really fun and there was a great turn out. They have already been asked to come back next year.

Nick's Birthday weekend

Nick's family was able to come and visit with us for his birthday so we got to visit with them Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday night we went to Luna's for dinner

Aaron and Charlotte got to pretend to be on a date (or at least that's what I said to convince them that it would be fun to sit alone rather then at the big table with everyone else).

Then Sunday after church we had friends and family over for dinner and cake and ice cream.

Nick's favorite, yellow cake with homemade chocolate frosting.

On Monday night we had our own little party

I let the kids pick out whatever they wanted to but for Dad (mostly). Here's what they came up with.

time out

Elsie had her first time out this week

Do you think she liked it?
