Two Wheels! (part two)

A few weeks later Lila was begging to try again. This time she was ready and she picked it up right away!

Under the Sea

Elsie has been SO excited for her school play. I think I knew everyone's line weeks before the play because she was constantly reciting all the lines.

We were sure to get there nice and early to get good seats! The kids played for a bit outside while we waited for the doors to open.

Elsie was front and center! She was not shy at all. She sang and  danced her little heart out!

Because she had to say her line away from the main microphone she was the only child who got to wear a microphone. She was quite excited about that.

Her big line "OK, let's review. We've talked about the sunlit zone, we've talked about the twilight zone, and we've talked about the midnight zone. Thank you! (with a little curtsey)"

She did such a good job and we are so proud of her for facing her fears and overcoming her stage fright!

Meeting Ben

Benjamin Blake Slater, our second nephew and cousin, was born on April 6th! We got to meet him when he was 1 week old. My pictures are blurry, but you can still tell what a cutie he is :)

We miss that sweet boy and can't wait to see him again!

Two Wheels!

Over conference weekend Nick started teaching Lila to ride her bike with no training wheels. She had been asking all week to take them off. They tried for about an hour and she did ride by herself, but she couldn't stop by herself. In the end Nick put the training wheels back on, but she had fun trying!
