"Alligators All Around"

Charlotte's Play was the following week. She loves being in plays! Her play was about all the fun stuff they have done and learned in second grade. She did a great job!

"California Here I Come"

Aaron's Play was all about the California Gold Rush. He was a 49er. Even though he still really does not like being in plays, he kind of had fun with this one :)

California Adventure

Aaron's class has been studying California all year, so his teacher set up a field trip to take a behind the scenes tour of California Adventure! The field trip was finished at noon, and then we spent the rest of the day at the park. Parents weren't allowed on the tour, so we had some breakfast and went on a few rides while we waited for Aaron to be finished. It was a really fun day and nice to explore all of California Adventure.The only other time we went was with park hopper passes and we spent most of our time in Disneyland. Aaron went on the tower of terror and the roller coaster for the first time and loved them! Radiator Springs was really neat and the new cars ride was so fun! I can't wait to go back with the girls.

Roasting Marshmallows

We have been making smore's lately as our F.H.E. treat.

 I love roasting marshmallows with the kids, even if it can be a bit messy. 

It is also making me really excited about camping!!

Charlotte's Date

 Finally Charlotte got her turn. We headed over to Color Me Mine as soon as they opened and Charlotte picked out this cute turtle. She was a very careful and patient painter. She let me help a little too.

The turtle looked awesome when she was finished, but I forgot to take a picture! After we were done it was lunch time so we went to Macaroni Grill to use a free kids meal coupon that she has been holding onto since Kindergarten! After our yummy lunch we went to Professor Toy. 

I love my Charlotte. 

She is so much fun to hangout with and talk to.

Aaron's Date

 That night also happened to be the Father Daughter Dance at Elsie's school.

 Perfect time for a date night with Aaron!! 

I let him pick our restaurant. He chose California Pizza Kitchen. After that we went to Professor Toy to look around, then to Best Buy to use a gift card he still had from Christmas, where we spent lots of time in the video game isles.

 On our way to Baskin Robbins he told me that he actually had fun shopping for the first time!

Lila's Date

I have always tried to have one on one time with each kid, but rarely actually plan it as a date. For Charlotte's birthday she received a gift certificate from Color Me Mine. She kept asking if she could use it, so I finally wrote it in on the calendar. Once that happened, everyone wanted a date!

Lila ended up getting hers first because Elsie was invited to a play date and we had a whole day to ourselves. She wanted to go to the zoo. It turned out to be a big field trip day, but we avoided the crowds for the most part and had lots of fun!

After the zoo we stopped by the library, then went to Wendy's for a frosty and fries!

It was so fun to have a date with my Lila.
