Disneyland 2010!!!

I finally got my camera back, but I was only able to take one picture before it stopped working again! I had to take it back in and I made sure to let them know that we had a trip to disneyland coming up in less than two weeks and I would really, really, really like to have my camera back by then. They made sure to let me know that there was no guarantee.

As the trip got closer I started losing hope, but on the day we were leaving I found out that the camera was being shipped to our house and was scheduled to arrive that day! UPS delivers from 7 am to 7 pm, so naturally they delivered to us at 6:45pm. But we didn't care, it was worth the wait, and as soon as the camera came we hopped in the car and headed to Aunt Charity's house.

For Christmas Charity wanted to take us to Disneyland!! The kids have been excited about it for months! (so have Nick and I)

We got there around 11 that night and right after breakfast the next morning we were off to Disneyland.

Right around here we lost Aaron. Nick had taken Aaron and Charlotte on Pirates of the Carribean while we were eating lunch, and when they came back Charity and I went again with them while Nick stayed with the sleeping girls. The ride dumps you off right next to a gift shop and we walked in to look around. We had been in for a couple of minutes and I was more concerned about losing Charlotte and wouldn't let go of her hand. Suddenly we realized we couldn't see Aaron. Charity went to look outside while I looked harder in the gift shop. Almost immediately a Disney employee came up to me asking if I was looking for a child. She helped me look all around the store. Another employee came up to Charity outside and asked her the same question. I stayed calm for a few minutes, but after no one could find him inside or outside of the store I lost it. The woman started to call security and asked for a description of Aaron and I could hardly speak. I suddenly thought that maybe he had walked back to Nick and I tried to call him, but he didn't answer. Charity had the same idea and ran over there.
Aaron had walked back to Nick when he couldn't find us and was safe with him.

The whole ordeal probably only lasted 5 minutes and it didn't ruin the day, but it was so awful when I thought he was gone. I was very impressed with Disney and how quickly they got involved and took over the search. They must have employees who do nothing but assist in those instances and read the faces of panicked parents and children. I saw the same woman who helped me later just standing in the background observing the crowd.

We stayed at the park for 12 hours and the kids were exhausted walking back to the car. It was a wonderful day. There weren't too many people there, the weather was beautiful and the longest we had to wait in a line was about 20 minutes. Most rides we just walked right on to. We are already looking forward to the next time we go.
Thank you Auntie Charity!

What a perfect gift for your family! It looks like so much fun...except for the part where you couldn't find Aaron. I almost started crying reading it, I'm sure that was so scary. How nice to know that Disney is so on top of it though! I love the picture of all 4 kids standing at the gate...they are getting so big! (and I'm glad you finally have your camera back! Hooray!)

Perfect timing on your camera! It looks like such a fun time (except for the Aaron episode, though they did handle well :) I love all the pics, especially Charlotte and the map, cute angle.

Those kids must've had a good time cause they were wiped out! What an awesome gift for your family. I can't wait until I have at least one kid that's old enough to go to Disneyland. It's gotta be so fun to watch their faces light up. Cute cute kids!

P.S. Glad you got your camera back!
