Pumpkin Carving

Carving pumpkins was fun. We skipped it last year somehow. But this year my dad came over to carve with us.

Charlotte had lots of fun drawing on her pumpkin, as you can see. We probably should have just stuck to that for her this year, she broke two knives trying to carve!

She wanted to carve the face exactly like what she had drawn. It took some convincing to stop there. She was especially persistent about those two little dots in between the big eyes which she said were the real eyes. But in the end she did a pretty good job (With lots of help from Grandpa Don of course)

Aaron knew exactly how he wanted to carve his. He wanted the nose on one side of the pumpkin and the mouth on the other. He worked very hard to make it just right.

In the end I think he ended up with two noses and two mouths but carved it all by himself and he was very proud!
