Yosemite!!!

Photobucket
Some of my fondest childhood memories are of this beautiful valley. Now that our kids are getting older, we have been having so much fun taking them to all the places we loved going as kids. I love watching them experience new things and places and reliving a bit of my childhood through their eyes.

A couple of weeks before school got out we took a day off of school and work and drove up to Yosemite for the day.

Aaron and Charlotte were in Heaven!

Elsie liked it too, but in new places she tends to attach herself to my leg, so while I had the camera she was absent from the pictures.

She told me that she was going to call me fat mamma because my coat was so big.

It was a very cold day... beautiful, but cold. After we were all loaded in the car Nick asked if I packed jackets so I ran back to get some. Even though we all had sweatshirts on underneath, we still really needed our coats. We wouldn't have been able to enjoy ourselves without them. Nice call Daddy!

and this was our view while we ate... gorgeous

ok, we really need to work on this girl's smile... or maybe she was just trying to fit in with the squirrels?

We had so much fun and we can't wait to go back, I'd like to take our family up there a few times a year. It astoundingly beautiful and such an easy day trip.
