Lost Lake

Aaron's class went on their first field trip this year to Lost Lake. There was only room for one parent on the bus and somehow I got to be it. I was kind of suprised when Aaron said he wanted to sit by be, but I was happy!

He wanted me to take this picture of his mosquito tattoo and post it here. He thought that everyone might think that he had just squashed a huge mosquito!

When we got there, there were three stations set up and the kids broke off into groups to rotate through.

Our first activity was a nature hike.

Next we got to catch some critters and inspect them under a microscope.

Then at our last station we walked around trying to find animal footprints.

After that we ate lunch then headed back to the bus, where Aaron chose to sit by his friends instead of his mom. Oh well, at least he still wants me to read and cuddle with him everynight!
