Horseback riding lessons

The biggest highlight of the trip for Aaron and Charlotte was getting to have a lesson on horseback riding. Jodi and Joe live at the La Jolla Equestrian Center and they have made friends with one of the trainers, David. He offered to give each of the kids a little lesson!

Elsie could have had a lesson too, but she was a little too scared. She said that next time she'll do it.

They were both all smiles while on the horse (named Cindy-I think)

They both loved it and want to take more lessons!
By the end Elsie had warmed up enough to brush the horse:)

After that we headed over to the Jelly Belly factory. Unfortunately it wasn't a production day (being the day after Thanksgiving) and they don't allow any picture taking, so this is the only one I've got. But, we had lots of fun there too. We got to sample lots of jelly bean flavors and different candies, and we came home with lots of candy too! Next time we go we'll make sure to pick a day when we can watch the candy being made!
