It really is hard to believe that Aaron is old enough to be baptized. He was a bit nervous about it over the summer and I finally figured out that he just didn't want everyone to watch him go under water. (I was even more shy than him at 8 and I clearly remember the feeling) I suggested being baptized at the same time as Hannah (my cousin's daughter who's birthday is the day after his) and all his fears of being the center of attention disappeared!
We had our missionaries come over a couple of times to talk with Aaron and share the importance of baptism with him and ask him if he was ready to be baptized. I wanted to make sure that he knew that even though we were encouraging him, it was still his decision to make.
The program was perfect. Everything ran smoothly and beautifully. Both of the Grandpa's (my dad and Ralph) spoke and gave perfect talks on Baptism and the Holy Ghost. It was truly amazing to watch Nick baptize and confirm Aaron as a member of the church. Definately one of the most special events of my life.
After the service we met in the cultural hall for some dessert and to visit with friends and family.

This was one of the happiest events of my life. I was not able to give Aaron his baby blessing so it was extra special to be able to baptize him. Thank you Aaron for being a strong young man, and letting your not so perfect dear old pop baptize you.
Love Dad
Aw, Nick's comment is so sweet!
I love it that everyone out there gets to go to everything. Wish we could be there too!
It was a beautiful baptism...Love the last pic of Aaron and Hannah!
